Rubber Stamps

These three rubber stamps are in honor of the Empress Elisabeth of Austria-Hungary.  The images were taken from the famous paintings of Franz Xavier Winterhalter.  This tragic beauty was one of the most beautiful women this world has ever known.

 

 

This rubber stamp was taken from the first of the “Boudoir Paintings” done exclusively by the court painter Winterhalter for the Emperor Franz Joseph I.  4″ x 3 ¼”

This rubber stamp shows the Empress Elisabeth, (1837-1898) Empress of Austria, Queen of Hungary, in he legendary ball gown painted by Franz X. Winterhalter in 1867.  This portrait has been the inspiration for many designs, most recently it was the model for the ballgown for “Belle” in Broadway’s “Beauty and the Beast”.  4″ x 3 ¼”

This portrait of the Empress is taken from what is called a “Boudoir Picture”, a more intimate painting done only for the eyes of the Emperor.  3″ x 2 ¼”
