St. Clare of Assisi Print

St. Clare holds the Monstrance with which she held off the rough soldiers of Frederick II, who tried to attack the monastery.

St. Clare is the patron saint of television, because she viewed the Mass without leaving her cell once when she was sick and bedridden. St. Clare received her habit from the hands of St. Francis, himself. Her feast day is August 11.
