Description
When Thérèse went to visit the local bishop to ask for permission to enter Carmel, she put her hair up for the first time to make herself look older. This portrait is taken from the photograph her father had taken of her three days before her entrance into Carmel. It would be the last picture taken before she went into the cloister.
